Spring will overcome!

Christ is Risen! Happy Easter!

I hope that each of you celebrates this holiday with family and friends, in peace and harmony.

My last short blog post was dated January 4...(how quickly the time passes :-)

I, and my entire team, needed some time to come to grips with the results of the elections. Honestly speaking, we had more on our minds than blogging.

But it’s very important to me that you continued to write even when I didn’t respond – although I should have. I’m very grateful that the country’s main resource today is people who care – YOU. People who understand what is really going on in the country and who has really come to power. People who are not ready to accept what has happened.

The country needs to be defended again. Harsh and insolent vandalism has taken root against our national idea, history, culture, language and national interests. And we need to fight this. And it must be overcome.

I can’t do this on my own. But with your help – we will and we must!

Today we are beginning a purge of our team. And I promise you that this will be the biggest purge in Ukrainian politics in all the years of independence. We will get rid of all the excess weight, the dirt, all the useless figures that became stuck to our team by chance and commercial reasons. We will get rid of those people who make our team weaker than the times demand...

And that’s why I’m grateful that you let me know about violations during the elections, about particular election commissioners who did nothing, and members of our team who were passive (or rather, engaged in sabotage). All this will be taken into account and the team will be dramatically changed. I personally continue to read your statements and advice.

But, most importantly, I will do my best so that this team is filled with Absolutely New People who are willing to dedicate their life to transforming Ukraine, who feel and know how to do this. My goal is to bring to the team STRONG people, who don’t fall apart at the first challenge. Every decent person and all of Ukraine needs this kind of team right now. But I must admit that at the moment we don’t have a full team like this...

And so today, I invite you to join an intellectual dialogue and partnership.

I’m certain that this horde won’t be around for long. Because they’re too brazen, cynical, greedy and thickheaded to understand the complexity of the issues facing them.

The country needs a new elite. An elite of you.

For those of us who cherish Ukraine, there is nowhere to go. We must fight and win. And we will defeat this horde that has briefly taken over the country – THIS IS A MUST!

There is no time for sorrow. We’re gathering a new team that can reach new heights and win!

Because Spring will overcome!
